Ordination Anniversary
On Sunday, October 4, Pastor Hilary will celebrate 25 years since her ordination. That day we will celebrate with her during the worship service and at the coffee fellowship. She has asked that there be no gifts that day but if you would like to honor her in some way for her faithful service, you can do so by donating to the Clergy Emergency Fund. It’s the Huntingdon Presbytery’s Emergeny Fund that supports pastors in need. There will be a box available in Fellowship Hall where you can place your donation if you wish. Or you can put your donation, marked “Clergy Emergency Fund” in the offering plate. If you are using a check, the check should be made to Providence Presbyterian Church
Scam Texts
Several folks have received suspicious text messages impersonating Pastor Hilary and asking for cash/gift cards. These texts are a scam – do not reply to them or engage with them. Report them to your cellphone carrier as spam and delete them. Pastor Hilary will never request cash and/or gift cards via text message. If you are unsure if a text message is legitimately from Pastor Hilary, please double check the number against the one listed in the official church directory. You may always call Pastor
Hilary directly to confirm if a text is from her or not.
Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat will be held on Oct. 25 from 1-3 pm. If you would like to donation candy, please place it in Fellowship Hall. If you prefer to give a monetary donation, see Megan.
JB Tree Farm
JB Tree Farm is tentatively set for Oct. 18 from 1-3 pm. We will have hotdogs and smores. Games, hayride and the corn maze will also be available. Each guest is asked to pay $5 to help cover the fee. The Youth are inviting all to join us! Please sign up in Fellowship Hall by Oct. 11. Money can be placed in envelopes (Sunday offering) marked “JB Tree Farm” or given to Megan.
Vacation/Study Leave
Pastor Hilary will be on vacation/study leave from Saturday, Oct. 10 – Friday, Oct. 16. Carol Wyerman will be preaching on October 11.

Family Services Sunday

Food Bank Sunday
Any donation of non-perishable food items is appreciated.
Outdoor Food Pantry
Our food pantry is asking for any nonperishable food times and personal care items.
