Emergency Contact

In case of extreme medical emergencies, Rick Herbster is the contact person for the members of this church. If you call him, he will insure the information is passed on appropriately.

Rally Day and Blessing of the Backpacks

Join us on Sunday, September 8, at 9:00 am, as we gather in the sanctuary to sing and introduce our new Sunday school groups, as well as our new Sunday school and Junior Church curriculums. We will also Bless the Backpacks this day. Afterward, all will be invited to the Fellowship Hall for a light breakfast.

Clothing Giveaway

The Outreach Team is hosting a Clothing Giveaway on Saturday, September 14 from 8 am to 12 pm. This free ministry event will include clothing from infant to adult sizes. We are also giving away gently used shoes. Additionally, new shoes for Elementary age children will also be available. Providence Presbyterian Church wants to recognize and thank Super Shoes of Altoona’s for their contribution to help with these new shoes for our neighbors who have a need.

Interested in Helping with the Clothing Giveaway?

We are asking you to donate gently used clothing and shoes. Donations may be placed anytime in the Bell practice Room downstairs. Sizes from infants to adults are needed since families come in all shapes and sizes.

Our local teachers have shared the desperate need our community children have for adequate footwear. To help with this need, we have partnered with Super Shoes of Altoona. They are providing us with 20% off discount coupons for those who can purchase new shoes. These coupons are available at Church. We will mark these coupons with our church name and size information for boy or girl so we get a variety to give away.

Volunteers are also needed to sort clothing and help with set up Wednesday, September 11 , Thursday, September 12 and Friday, September 13 from 8am-12pm. We also seek your prayers for God’s blessing on this ministry as we seek to be the Hands and Feet of our Lord in our Community.

Bonnie DeLozier would like each family who has a child in the nursery to please fill out a Nursery Enrollment form located right outside the nursery. Also if you would please bring in an updated picture of your child/ren for the bulletin board she would appreciate it!
